Our knees are vulnerable joints and can sometimes be made more vulnerable by our everyday movement patterns.

Emma has managed and continues to manage a hereditary knee condition and has found Yoga to be a great help in creating healthy movement patterns and encouraging strength in both the joints and soft tissue to reduce discomfort and protect the areas which require protection.

If you have ever experienced bloating, constipation, IBS, sluggishness or anxiety, then this workshop is for you!

With 80% of the immune system depending on the gut it is often referred to as the ‘second brain’ and is central to our general health and wellbeing.

This workshop will explore ways in which your yoga practice can nurture, clean and revitalise your gut, focusing on asana, pranayama and the wider application of the first and second limb Yamas and Niyamas concerning how we live our lives.

Yin Yoga is a supported practice of restorative postures which help to release deep held tensions in the connective tissue of the body and mind.

Based on her study with one of the country’s leading Yin practitioners, Norman Blair, author of ‘Brightening our Inner Skies: Yin and Yoga’, Emma will guide you on a soothing journey led by the breath and with a focus on the Chinese medicine meridiens of the heart and lungs. She will use essential oils and gentle adjustments to help you release and unwind. This course is suitable for all- the stressed and inflexible are especially welcome!

12th October 2019 Total Body Yoga for Strength and Flexibility (10 Places Left!)

This workshop will combine the Yoga concepts of Sthiram (Strength) and Sukham (Comfort through Flexibility) exploring what needs to be strong and what needs to relax in our asana practice. Emma will teach with her usual range of options for everybody who wishes to practise, providing a total body and mind experience encouraging Prana and culminating in a deep relaxation at the end of the session.

9th November 2019 ‘Chakra Yoga and Sound Bath’ Workshop with Emma and Adrienne Woods

This workshop will be a creative immersive experience combining both sound and Yoga. Emma and Adrienne will guide you on a  journey through the chakras from the root to the crown chakra to encourage a raising of  vibration. Using crystal singing bowls, Adrienne will play the vibration associated with each   chakra whilst Emma takes you through a    series of asana associated with each of these wheels of energy. The session will finish with a relaxing sound bath which uses a range of sound instruments to nourish and restore you.
