This class will focus on Ashtanga Yoga as it was originally conceived- a means to healing and well-being. Using elements of Yoga Chikitsa (Yoga therapy of the Primary series) Emma will use a range of laying, seated, kneeling and standing options to show how Ashtanga Yoga practice is for all. Ashtanga Yoga has been the number one tool for Well-Being in Emma’s life in terms of back and joint health, stress relief, inner strength and peace of mind. Whenever she feels broken or vulnerable either physically or mentally, it is the first practice she turns to.

As such; this class will focus on:

Back and joint health

Fascia release

Core strength and resilience

Stress management

Emotional well-being for life’s challenges

No Yoga experience is necessary – walking wounded especially welcome

£50, Mondays 5:30-6:30 pm, Serenity, Guisborough

What a great workshop at Gt Ayton, we found the stretches wonderful. I’ve been to many physiotherapists and osteopaths over 25 years and not come across stretches that worked my hips and low back like some of the ones we did.”

Peter Allan

”I feel so much better after yesterday’s class, been suffering with my back for a few days, then whoosh….you worked your magic once again…thank you!”
